The City of Farmersville is committed to making its website and documents usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology.
What this site is built to
This website is built and tested to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, which exceeds the WCAG 2.1 AA standard adopted for state and local governments under the 2024 ADA Title II rule (28 CFR Part 35). Testing includes automated checks on every page, keyboard and screen-reader review by a person, and an evidence package the City keeps. No accessibility overlay or widget is used.
Documents
New documents are published as accessible PDF (PDF/UA-1) or as web pages. Older documents are being remediated in order of use. Any document is available in an alternate format on request.
ADA Coordinator
The City's ADA Coordinator receives accommodation requests and grievances under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (28 CFR 35.107).
Report a barrier or file a grievance
If something on this site or in a City program does not work for you, tell us. You can use the ADA grievance form, call, or write. The City acknowledges grievances and responds in writing.
Known limitations
Some older PDFs are not yet accessible. They are listed in the Document Center without the PDF/UA-1 mark and can be provided in another format on request.
